An extremely rare visitor, this Frost Air Saab 2000. The only other time I caught a Saab 2000 at MST was back in 2009. There are only 4 examples left in passenger service in Europe, all flying for Frost Air of Denmark. Here we see FRO979 taxiing to the turn pad for departure to Malmö (MMX). It had come in from Ibiza (IBZ) as FRO79 a bit earlier.

My first time seeing Atlas Air again this year. I caught it rolling out to the turn pad after landing from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) as GTI9832.

WIF9101 from Bergen (BGO) for maintenance (it needs some new paint too). This was one of the shortest landings I've ever seen, with a landing roll of only about 200 metres. I was standing near the touchdown marker, but at that spot the aircraft had already vacated the runway via E2. The strong headwind must have helped.

After several failed attempts, I finally caught Air Master at MST. This afternoon, SU-SFY arrived as RMX8122 from Cairo (CAI). Air Master is an Egyptian cargo airline. They currently have two 737 freighters, having received the first one in 2023.

This afternoon, the inaugural flight from MST to Lublin (LUZ) departed in between rainshowers. It's turning around here for a runway 03 takeoff to the northeast. Yesterday, Wizz Air also launched flights to Katowice (KTW) after a 9-year hiatus, with Podgorica (TGD) flights starting tomorrow as well. Together with the Tuzla (TZL) flights that commenced in December 2025, Wizz Air now flies to 4 destinations from MST and these are the only passenger flights currently.

An interesting and colourful visitor from Ukraine this afternoon, a converted 737-800. The aircraft arrived as NPG3332 from Larnaca (LCA). Supernova Airlines is the air cargo division of Nova Poshta, a private Ukrainian postal and courier company. It's the first visit for this airline at MST.

Today was the busiest day of the year at MST, with dozens and dozens of bizjets coming in for the TEFAF art fair in Maastricht. This beautiful Turkish Falcon was the first aircraft I caught today, arriving from Istanbul (ISL) in the morning.

A bit later, this Ethiopian 767 came in as ETH3731 from Nairobi (NBO). This is a fairly new 767, built in 2022. Ethiopian 767s are rare at MST, as the vast majority of flights is operated by 777s.

Flight OU1452 landing runway 21 from Zagreb (ZAG), bringing in the football team of Dinamo Zagreb for their match against KRC Genk. Croatia Airlines started replacing their Q400s and A320 series by the A220 in 2024, this aircraft was delivered in October 2025. It's the only -100 series they have at the moment and seats 127 passengers.

In this photo it's backtracking after landing as NCR538 from Tel Aviv (TLV). This aircraft used to be an aerial firefighter until 2021 and flew for Global SuperTanker, now it carries cargo.

Since this month, My Freighter is back. Today, one of their 767s landed with full reverse thrust after some rain showers, creating an impressive water spray. Flight MFX7617 from Tashkent (TAS).

On a grey and rainy afternoon, this German A320 came in as ATV133L from Poitiers (PIS). LEAVE is a German charter carrier which was founded in 2020. They currently operate 3 A320s. It was my first time seeing the airline at MST.

Backtracking runway 03 for departure back to Amsterdam (AMS). This aircraft operated a scheduled flight from AMS to LUX but got diverted to MST because of fog in LUX. Must have been a frustrating experience for the passengers.

The second of two ETH cargo flights today, the airline had been absent for some months but they're back now. Here ETH3400 is turning around after arrival from Addis Ababa (ADD) in nice afternoon sunlight.

Just before sunset, the third different A340-600 of this week landed as URO913 from Ürümqi (URC). The lighting was less than ideal this time.

EasyJet is having most of its fleet repainted at MST. Here we see EZY9004 taking off from runway 03 to London Gatwick (LGW) after a repaint. The same crew brought in another A320 an hour earlier.

In the afternoon, this rather bland looking cargo converted A320 arrived as SVI6630 from Cairo (CAI). It continued to Ras Al Khaimah (RKT) afterwards. There were many birds around again, but fortunately it ended well.

Backtracking runway 21 for departure to Sofia (SOF) as EAI42P. This ATR had come in from Dublin (DUB) an hour earlier to refuel on its way to Bulgaria. It had to backtrack runway 21 and make a 180 because a part of the taxiway is closed for maintenance.

Speeding past the control tower. G-ECLE is a former Iberia aircraft, built in 2004. In comparison, G-ECLM formerly belonged to Virgin Atlantic and was also built in 2004.

URO914 rolls down the runway on its way to Chongqing (CKG) in incredible early morning lighting conditions. The sun had just risen above the horizon about a minute earlier and lit up the A340 with this warm orange glow. A rare occasion where everything played well together.

European Cargo is based in Bournemouth (UK) and converted some former passenger A346s for cargo, but without large cargo doors. Cargo is largely hand loaded into the cabin, where special pods are installed. The downside is that it takes a lot of time and people to load/unload.

A very special guest landing runway 03 as URO913 from Ürümqi (URC). It's my first time seeing an A340-600 at MST, I even think it's the first A346 visit ever. As of today, there are only 15 A346s left in commercial service worldwide.

And a bit later on the same afternoon, this beautiful Georgian A300 came in as LOL605 from Belgrade (BEG). Over the weekend, it has flown 3 return trips BEG-MST. Here it's seen making a 180 to backtrack the runway after landing. The same airframe visited MST last summer, but now it's wearing its new livery, which attracted dozens of spotters.

Coming in as HV7244 from Barcelona. It had been 11 years since I last saw a Transavia aircraft at MST; this was a one-off charter. In the coming years, all 737s will be replaced by A320/A321neos.

Departing back home as WIF9107 to Bergen (BGO) after maintenance. The crew brought in another E2 around noon and left with this aircraft just before sunset. These aircraft are remarkably quiet on takeoff.
